Nursing Education Perspectives is planning a special issue on Clinical Education in Academic Learning Environments for the September/October 2025 issue. The guest editors are Jennie De Gagne, PhD, DNP, RN, NPD-BC, CNE, ANEF, FAAN and Rebecca G. Davis, EdD, RN, CNE, CNE-cl.

Dr. De Gagne is a Clinical Professor and Lead Faculty for the nursing education major at the Duke University School of Nursing. Dr. Davis is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Undergraduate Nursing Curriculum Chair at the University of Alabama in Huntsville College of Nursing.

We are seeking manuscripts on clinical education in the undergraduate and graduate academic learning environments. Specifically, we are interested in manuscripts that focus on clinical teaching strategies and models, assessment of clinical competence, competency-based clinical evaluations, faculty development in clinical teaching, and ethical and legal issues inherent in clinical learning settings. Manuscripts should fit the criteria for the journal's Feature Articles, Research Briefs, or Innovation Center.
